Few presences in Psychia are surrounded by as much reverence, fear and uncertainty as Pyron.
For ages beyond reliable chronology, the flaming crystal was kept within the Dream Oracle, at the spiritual heart of the Inland. In the oldest oneirosophic traditions, Pyron was known as Esoptron — the light through which reality itself could be perceived — and became one of the defining forces of the flourishing age remembered as the Wheel of Wisdom, Chakra Sapientis.
Pyron was never merely a sacred object. Its light belonged to the deeper order of Psychia: to memory, perception and the world’s capacity to recognise itself. Then came the Plundering of the Dream Oracle. The Oracle fell, the Oneirosophers were scattered, and n’Clan seized Pyron.
What followed marked the beginning of Chakra Encrypta and the long dominion of darkness. According to surviving traditions, Pyron itself was altered — its light suppressed and transformed into the dark form later known as the Black Stone, Chakra Noir.
For aeons, Psychia sank into The Long Narcosis. Yet the darkness was never absolute.
Something within Pyron eventually began to glow again. As its faint light returned, so too did enlightened dreaming, forgotten knowledge, buried symbols and memories of an older world. Thus began the age remembered as The Long Awakening.
Pyron is therefore more than something that was stolen. Its fate is bound to the fate of Psychia itself.
The Quest for Pyron
Pyron remains in the hands of n’Clan — but somewhere within Psychia, traces of its whereabouts survive.
The Quest for Pyron is an interactive path through the world, inviting visitors to follow those traces. Clues may appear in Ledger entries, stories, images, symbols, inscriptions or seemingly insignificant details scattered across Psychia. Some will lead onward. Others may mislead.
The objective is simple: Find where n’Clan is keeping Pyron. But the deeper question is far less simple: What will happen if the stolen light is returned?
Follow the clues. Connect the fragments. Remember what others have forgotten.
Somewhere in Psychia, Pyron is waiting.
A first clue: at the edge of the world, in a vast, arid and contaminated wasteland lives a Magus with deep and uncommon knowledge about Pyron. Those who seek the stolen flame may need to find him.
